Nigella Lawson - http://www.nigella.com/
Nigella is one of the most bizarre women I've ever seen on TV. How she gets away with the way she talks and acts whilst cooking is beyond me but I love watching her and I love the fact that she isn't obsessed with healthy eating. She eats and cooks whatever she likes and I love that about her. If you watch the really old shows she did, she doesn't flirt with the camera at all so it must be a middle aged thing to make her feel a bit better about herself bless her. Her recent shows are worth watching just for the entertainment value, even if you don't like cookery programmes.
Jamie Oliver - http://www.jamieoliver.com/
Jamie - what can I say, apart from will you leave Jules and your lovely children and come and live with me instead? Don't get me wrong, I don't 'fancy' Jamie but there is just something about him. He is so NICE, I want him to live at my house and make all my meals and look after me.
Gordon Ramsey - http://www.gordonramsay.com
Lots of people don't like Gordon but I think he's great. There's no need for the abuse he gives people in his kitchen on the TV shows he does but I do love the way he is so straight talking and doesn't take any shit off anyone. And he does actually seem human behind all the bravado.
James Martin - http://www.jamesmartinchef.co.uk
James is someone you would want to take home to meet your mum. He's just very likeable but I don't really like his presenting skills or the way he says certain words. He sounds like he's trying to talk 'posh' when he's not actually 'posh'. I know, I'm a bitch!
Rick Stein - http://www.rickstein.com/
Good old Rick, one of the old classics. I actually love Rick more because of 'Chalky' and the way he looked after him. He took that dog everywhere with him. I was absolutely gutted when poor old Chalky died, I actually think I felt the pain Rick would be feeling. Every programme I ever watched with Rick in had Chalky somewhere in the background. Ace chef, ace dog.
Delia Smith - http://www.deliaonline.com/
I remember watching Delia's cookery programmes when I was very very young, I think this is where my interest in cooking and baking came from. She is a true legend in the cookery world. Long live Delia.
Rachel Allen - http://www.rachelallen.co.uk/
I can't stand Rachel's voice but I do love the food she makes and I love her kitchen!
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall - http://www.rivercottage.net
Hugh - when you watch River Cottage you just think, 'I wish I was a friend of Hugh's so I would get an invite to River Cottage and sit in his idyllic surroundings drinking something he's just made from things from his garden'. Who wouldn't want to live there?
Gino D'acampo - http://www.ginodacampo.com/
Matt Tebbut - http://www.thefoxhunter.com/chef.php
Apart from being gorgeous and having one of the sexiest voices on TV, Gino seems like such a lovely bloke. If only he was a bit taller and slightly less hairy!
I only discovered Matt through Market Kitchen. He's a rather nice looking guy and cooks some wonderful food.
Foody TV Shows I Love
River Cottage
I want to live at River Cottage, grow all my own veg and have chickens that lay fresh eggs every morning.
Jamie Oliver
Various shows. Jamie is my number 1 favourite chef in the whole world, I love watching all of his programmes and from what you see of him and hear about him, he seems like one of the nicest blokes on the planet. Great cook, great dad and great husband. Can I have him please Jules????
Market Kitchen
I drive Steve mad watching repeats of Market Kitchen numerous times. I watch it mainly because of Matt Tebbutt but don't tell Steve that! This is on the Good Food channel.
Saturday Kitchen
10am BBC1 on Saturday's believe it or not! I look forward to watching this on a Saturday morning, usually after a well deserved lie in. I love James Martin apart from the way he says 'butter', it really annoys me!
Come Dine With Me
One of the funniest, most entertaining programmes on TV ever! The commentator, Dave Lamb is my hero. Steve and I watch every episode and always end up rolling about laughing. If you've never watched it, watch it! I applied to be on it last year but didn't get a call back - gutted!
Masterchef
Another fantastic cookery programme. I am nowhere near as talented as the people that apply to be on Masterchef, these people amaze me with the dishes they come up with. I hope one day I am good enough to be able to apply.
Good Food Channel
I have this channel on rather a lot. They have some great programmes on and a lot of classic oldies that I love watching. Check it out if you're into your cookery programmes, you'll be hooked
